Through your recent studies (and possibly through some early experience in public accounting and working towards professional credentials), you have developed sound technical knowledge and are developing an ability to discuss complex matters with your clients and colleagues. You are beginning to develop an appreciation for the trust clients place in their professional advisors, and you sincerely enjoy the prospect of earning that trust as you establish yourself in the profession
What you will be responsible for:
- Preparing client engagement files, including compilation, assurance, tax compliance, payroll, and client accounting / bookkeeping services. As you gain additional experience, you are expected to be a team member on various advisory and tax planning engagements.
- Earning professional credentials with the support of our firm
- Communicating directly with clients to obtain information or answer specific queries
- Developing, as part of a team, internal and external informational presentations
- Demonstrating professionalism in client, colleague, and community interactions, including strong organizational, time-management, and prioritizing skills
- Involving yourself with local organizations striving to build a better community
- Proficiency with key industry-standard technologies (Karbon, Xero, Caseware, TaxPrep, etc.)
